Based in New Orleans, FlavorBox Catering showcases the combined talents of natives Courtney and Brett Sutton. With Brett's creative culinary style and Courtney's experience in the wine business, they are a perfect match to flawlessly execute your event.

Brett Sutton, FlavorBox's Executive Chef, has been preparing for this position for years. He has a Hospitality Management degree from the University of Alabama as well as a Culinary Artistry degree from the Culinary Institute of Charleston. He first developed a taste for cooking and the unique culinary legacy for which New Orleans is famous by mastering traditional Creole and Cajun fare with Creole Delicacies, a Sutton family company. Brett learned a more expansive menu at the Sun Ray Grill and enjoyed creating seasonal specials. In Charleston, South Carolina, he worked for esteemed Chef Frank Lee at his award-winning fine dining destination, Slightly North of Broad. In Oregon, Brett learned the flavors of the Pacific Northwest at the well-established Tina's and was also the executive chef for The French Bear, a wine country favorite. He also provided NW Wine Company with delicious meals during the busy harvest season, igniting his passion for catering.

After traveling Europe and working around the country, Brett returned home and joined Chef Donald Link's team at Herbsaint. While he enjoyed working with the famed chef, it was time for Brett to branch out and really show off his creative cuisine. With his wife Courtney, they started FlavorBox Catering. Courtney, also a native New Orleanian, has concentrated on the perfect complement to Brett's food - wine! After graduating from Sewanee: The University of the South, she was Office Manager for Grassroots Wine, a Charleston wholesaler distributing wine from around the world. To learn about wine from the ground up, they moved to Oregon where Courtney joined Walnut City WineWorks, a custom crush facility and vineyard management company. After extensive traveling and dining, Courtney and Brett came back in the city they love. Courtney gained valuable front of the house experience while buying wine for The Bistro at Maison de Ville. In addition to manning the FlavorBox office, Courtney also works for Uncorked, importers & distributors of fine wine.
